TEAM Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
What is TEAM?
“T” in TEAM stands for “testing.”
You will be completing a Brief Mood Survey that is designed to measure your progress for each session and over the duration of treatment with me.
“E” in TEAM stands for “empathy.”
You will feel an empathic connection with me which includes your feeling accepted, valued, understood, listened to and respected. I also focus on evoking your strengths, courage, hope and motivation. This is where you begin to feel better.
“A” in TEAM represents “(paradoxical) agenda setting” which clearly defines why you are suffering.
We will explore and develop an understanding of why you are struggling in the first place.
“M” in TEAM stands for “methods” which are highly effective and proven CBT techniques.
You will come away from therapy knowing which technique to apply if you should experience a bout of depression/anxiety in the future (we all experience such mood lapses).
Ultimately, once you complete therapy with me, you will have achieved your goal of feeling good and have the ability to be your own therapist and remain feeling great!
